Acceptance
By accessing or using Movin (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
This document is a working draft. It will be reviewed by legal counsel before public launch.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.
Your account
- You are responsible for safeguarding your sign-in credentials and for any activity on your account.
- Provide accurate information. Impersonation, fake accounts, or accounts created to evade a prior ban are prohibited.
- Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, dox, or discriminate against other users.
- Post content that is illegal, defamatory, sexually explicit, hateful, or that infringes anyone’s rights.
- Use the Service for commercial spam, scams, or fraud.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service’s normal operation.
- Misrepresent the safety of an activity, the route, or who else will be there.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
Activities & user-generated content
Movin lets you host and join in-person sport activities organised by other users. You acknowledge that:
- Movin is not the organiser of any activity listed in the app. Hosts are individual users.
- Participation is at your own risk. Sport carries inherent risks of injury. You are responsible for assessing whether an activity matches your fitness, skill, and safety expectations.
- You retain ownership of the content you post (activity descriptions, photos, chat messages). You grant Movin a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content as necessary to run the Service.
Hosts’ responsibilities
If you host an activity, you must:
- Provide accurate information about sport, location, time, route, and headcount.
- Communicate changes (cancellation, time/location updates) to participants promptly.
- Comply with local laws and any required permits for the activity location.
Movin reserves the right to remove activities that violate these Terms or applicable law.
Intellectual property
The Movin name, logo, and design assets are the property of Movin. You may not use them without our written permission, except as required to share or refer to the Service in a fair-use context.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Movin and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or any activity organised through it.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the app’s profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms other users.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
